Wifi Instructions

Two WiFi networks are available at 3600 Civic Center Blvd: AirPennNet (PennKey login) and PennMedicine (PMACS credentials). Choose based on your account type and device.
Network 1: AirPennNet
AirPennNet
Credentials: PennKey username and password
Windows
  1. Download and run the JoinNow app from ISC.
  2. Follow the prompts to configure your network profile.
  3. Select AirPennNet from your WiFi list and connect.
macOS
  1. Go to the ISC AirPennNet page and download JoinNow for Mac.
  2. Run the installer and enter your PennKey credentials when prompted.
  3. Select AirPennNet from your WiFi menu.
iOS / iPadOS
  1. On your device, go to the ISC JoinNow page.
  2. Follow the prompts to install a WiFi configuration profile.
  3. Approve the profile in Settings → VPN & Device Management, then connect to AirPennNet.
Android
  1. Download the SecureW2 JoinNow app from the Google Play Store.
  2. Open the app and go to the AirPennNet portal.
  3. Enter your PennKey credentials and follow the setup prompts.
  4. Connect to AirPennNet from your device WiFi settings.
Network 2: PennMedicine WiFi
PennMedicine
Credentials: PMACS username and password (your @pennmedicine.upenn.edu credentials)
All Devices
  1. Select PennMedicine from your device's WiFi list.
  2. Enter your PMACS username (firstname.lastname or pennkey) and password when prompted.
  3. Accept any certificate prompts to complete the connection.
  4. If you don't have PMACS credentials, contact the PMACS Help Desk.
Guest Access
  1. Select the Penn-Guest or AirPennNet-Guest network.
  2. Open a browser — you will be redirected to the guest registration page.
  3. Register with a valid email address to gain temporary access.
  4. For sponsored guest access, contact i3h-admin@pennmedicine.upenn.edu.

AirPennNet

Instructions to join AirPennNet.

For Penn Employees – Windows PC

  • Connect your device to the wireless network: ‘AirPennNet Guest’.
  • The captive portal page will appear. Click on the link to the AirPennNet setup page.
    Open a web browser and browse to https://cloud.securew2.com/public/29559/AirPennNet/
  • You will be redirected to the JoinNow configuration page.
  • Click the “JoinNow” button.
  • An app will be downloaded. Click “Run” when the pop-up asking if you want to run it appears.
  • In the app, enter your PennKey and PennKey password when prompted, and select Next.
  • If prompted, enter the name and password of an administrator account on the computer.
    (Contact ITS for assistance with this step, if necessary)
  • Select Done.

 

For Penn Employees – Apple iOS

  • Connect your device to the wireless network: ‘AirPennNet Guest’.
  • The captive portal page will appear. Click on the link to the AirPennNet setup page.
  • Open a web browser and browse to https://cloud.securew2.com/public/29559/AirPennNet/
  • You will be redirected to the JoinNow configuration page.
  • On the JoinNow page, enter your PennKey and password in the fields provided.’
  • Click ‘JoinNow.’ You may be prompted to install a profile; if so, select “Allow.”
  • Open the Settings app on your iOS device and select “Profile Downloaded.”
  • If “Profile Downloaded” does not appear, Navigate to Settings > General > Profile (iOS 14 and older) or Settings > General > VPN and Device Management (iOS 15 and higher) and select the “University of Pennsylvania AirPennNet” profile.
  • Select “Install” and enter your device’s passcode or password.
  • Select “Install” again and then select “Done.”

 

For Penn Employees – Android

  • Configuration of Android requires installation of the SecureW2 app from the Android Play Store.
  • You can download the app from Connect to AirPennNet, but installing the app in advance makes configuring AirPennNet simpler. Below are steps for both scenarios.
  1. Connect your device to the wireless network: ‘AirPennNet Guest’.
  2. The captive portal page will appear. Click on the link to the AirPennNet setup page.
  3. Open a web browser and browse to https://cloud.securew2.com/public/29559/AirPennNet/
  4. From the JoinNow page, install the SecureW2 app by clicking the “Download” button, making sure that “Google Play Store” is selected. If you installed SecureW2 already, you can skip this step.
  5. Return to hour browser and click on the “JoinNow” button.
  6. The SecureW2 app will open; enter your PennKey and password when prompted and select “Continue.”

 

For Third Party Guests

  • Connect your device to the wireless network: ‘Connect to AirPennNet-Guest’.
  • Open a web browser and browse to: www.upenn.edu
  • Review and accept the Acceptable Use Policy terms and conditions.
  • Enter a valid email address
  • Click Submit

PennMedicine Wifi

Select wifi settings on your device, join “PennMedicine” and login using your PMACS username password.
